Configuration
Document functions are plug-ins that are executed by the Document Engine when a certain event occurs. primedocs provides a variety of document functions that can be deactivated/activated or deleted within the template. To keep the performance as high as possible, it is recommended to activate only the most necessary document functions.
Global document functions are used to manage central settings of all document functions.
NOTE
The inheritance mechanism of the Document Engine can be used to override or transform configurations and to enable or disable document functions. More about this in this chapter: Inheriting document functions.
Organization and user fields
In primedocs, each user has configurable fields. Likewise, each organizational unit has configurable fields. A user profile is the composition of a user and an organization.
Organization fields
Fields of an organizational unit can be inherited down the hierarchy, so that, e.g., the company or the manager only need to be defined once globally. Organizational units can be assigned "color themes" in addition to text and image data.
In the new template world, this information can be accessed automatically. In the "classic" template world, this is configured via the Profile data and Themes document function.
Document functions
Below is a list of all document functions that can be used in primedocs templates. You can find more information about the different template types here. For global document functions, see Global Providers.
