What is primedocs?

The primedocs products are designed to help you work easily, quickly, consistently and efficiently in Microsoft Office - specifically in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.

primedocs is available in two options that can used individually or combined: primedocs web and primedocs desktop.

primedocs web

primedocs web is a web application which gives you access to your primedocs templates in your web browser. This means, primedocs web is device-independent. So you can create documents anywhere and from any device.

The main focus of primedocs web is to support you in the creation of documents. Created documents can be opened in the corresponding Office app for further editing or other use.

primedocs web is, therefore, the perfect tool for mobile, decentralized working and offers access to your templates on the go and from different devices.

primedocs desktop

primedocs desktop is a desktop application for your Windows PC. The product consists of the app and the primedocs AddIn in each Office application. The focus of primedocs desktop is on the creation of documents as well, however, the range of functions is considerably greater than that of primedocs web:

• Via the primedocs AddIn, the primedocs functions are still available even after the file has been created. This means that created documents, PowerPoints or workbooks can be changed afterwards, e.g. by changing the profile or selecting or filling in other properties.

• Non-CI/CD PowerPoints can be converted to the company-compliant design via primedocs AddIn.

• The templates are created with primedocs desktop.

• ...and further possibilities

This makes primedocs desktop a very powerful and efficient application.

To ensure that templates function smoothly, their creation requires some care and attention. This is explained in more detail in the Layouter manual. However, this documentation only deals with the daily use of primedocs.

As already mentioned, primedocs web and primedocs desktop can be used either individually or in combination. Both products together form a power package for your users.
